The tread design of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyre is designed for dry road performance in braking and steering. It has an outer dry road tread and inner wet road tread spacing. The Bi-Compound Technology from Michelin divides the compounds used on the tread into dry and wet performance. Hybrid elastomer compound is used in the outer tread while silica-rich compound is used in the inner tread. The Dynamic Response Technology incorporates aramid and nylon belts beneath the tread. This maintains the shape of the tread during high-speed driving.
There are some variants including N0, certification by Porsche and MO1, which is Benz’s certification for tyres with specifications for its cars. Respect for these marks will ensure that the tyre conforms to specification of the car. There is an XL reinforced construction for some higher fitting loads. We at Tyres.co.uk, offer the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres.
