Michelin Latitude Cross is a hybrid 4x4 summer tyre. It is engineered with a 90% road and 10% off-road distribution in mind. This means it will handle well for everyday road driving, as well as provide traction on gravel, dirt tracks and wet grass. The tyre tread design is called Mud Catcher. It uses interlocking blocks with open channels. The Mud Catcher design also has blocks on the outer edge intentionally shaped to dig into and clear off loose soil and mud. This tyre also incorporates a new formulation design by Michelin called Terrain-Proof, which is cut and chip resistant and is inspired by the earthmover tyre.

A computer aided design makes the tread of this tyre little to no noise and almost no vibration while the tyre rolls. Spacing is designed to keep closely linked central blocks with open spaces surrounding the edges. The Michelin Latitude Cross is available on Tyres.co.uk.

I can't believe that after a year of use these tyres still look brand new. I have done my fair share of driving from Southampton to Yorkshire on the motorways and they have been impressively quiet. They're still looking good. I also noticed that the Yorkshire muddy country roads are handled exceptionally by these tyres. The great confidence I have in these tyres makes me look back and think that I am glad I spent that little extra on them.

I am happy with these tyres at the moment. Good traction in all conditions and only a little louder than the last road tyres. I have driven on some snow with no problems but haven't tried them in the mud yet. They look like a good quality normal road tyre but with the added benefit of a more aggressive tread for dealing with rougher surfaces.

The handling for a heavy car is better than expected. I have experience driving on the German autobahn, British country roads, and also varied wet, muddy, tarmacked and gravelly surfaces. They all performed excellently with no swaying and great braking. After roughly 3,000 miles, I see no significant wear.
