The Michelin CrossClimate 2 is an all-season tyre designed for optimum year-round performance for dry, wet, or snowy braking situations. Featuring a directional V-shaped tread with 3PMSF certification, CrossClimate 2 utilises shoulder channeling to expel water from beneath the tyre, while self-locking snow cutting slits form snow traction edges. Michelin’s innovation, Thermal Adaptive Tread, stays flexible with winter slush to optimise the snow cutting edges.

Launched in 2021, the CrossClimate 2 is the successor to the CrossClimate+. According to Michelin, the new design pattern has been optimised to evacuate 10% more water. Crimped edges on the sidewall of the CrossClimate 2 indicate snow traction which meets the requirements of winter tyre regulations and standards. The tyres perform excellently and are very quiet. They have great road adhesion in all conditions, including wet and dry. They also perform well in cold conditions. The wear is uniform, and after 10,000 miles they have only worn about 30%. One puncture was caused by a screw, but it was fixed quickly.

I have had the tyres on my car for 18 months and they are still in good condition. I drive everyday and in all sorts of weather, and I trust them completely. I estimate they will last two years and 20,000 miles on my 2014 Honda Civic estate.
