The Michelin Alpin 6 is a winter tyre for passenger cars that improve traction on snow for the life of the tyre. Michelin Alpin 6 uses EverGrip technology, which generates new grooves as the tyre wears. The Alpin 6 has deep snow channels that run front to back and blocks on the outer edge of the tread that bite into snow. The fine slits across the tread pattern help the tyre create new edges for traction on winter roads as the tyre wears. The Alpin 6 also uses Michelin's innovative winter rubber that uses functional polymers that remain flexible at low temperatures.
The Alpin 6 has also replaced the Alpin 5 and holds the 3PMSF designation for tyres that meet the severe snow requirements. These tyres are effective at temperatures below 7 degrees Celcius. The Alpin 6's changing tread pattern helps the tyre remain effective at winter snow traction for the whole life of the tyre. Tyres.co.uk sells the Michelin Alpin 6.
