Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
During winter, snow traction under commercial loads is essential; the Michelin Agilis Alpin is designed to address this phenomenon using winter C3 rubber compound. A specific component defined by Michelin as StabiliGrip technology also features the use of 3D self-locking sipes, providing the traction that is required during driving under winter conditions. These sipes also provide support to the tread blocks during driving on wet pavements. The tread pattern is meant in part to assist the tyre during winter conditions in retaining the response necessary for steering and braking.
This particular tyre also features the 3PMSF symbol and marking and the M+S designation. Given the intended use of the Agilis Alpin by Michelin, this tyre is especially designed to withstand the abuse of the commercial delivery environment. Tyres.co.uk provides this product.
