The Kumho WinterCraft WS71 tyre is developed for use as a winter tyre in SUV cars and designed to cope with slush and standing water while being flexible at very low temperatures. Its V-shaped directional design includes outer edge grooves for water slush drainage. The 3D sipes increase biting edges on the tread for better traction on the snow. Kumho’s tyre design uses high dispersion silica compound for low temperature work on wet, icy roads and snow.

On the sidewall, there is an arrow showing the way the V-shaped grooves should be oriented. The WinterCraft WS71 is designated with the 3PMSF and M+S to indicate the snow traction tyre and mud and snow tyre correspondingly. Tyres.co.uk stocks the Kumho WinterCraft WS71.

Since I have been on furlough, I certainly haven't racked up any great distance, however, I did take them for a spin in a rural area after it snowed. I was keen to see how they would perform. I am rather impressed. They waded through about 5cm of snow with absolutely no problems.
