Kumho’s WinterCraft WP72 has been designed for advanced winter conditions to deliver ultra high performance. This tyre has been created for brake performance on cold wet roads and traction in wet slush and light snow. WinterCraft WP72 has a silica compound that remains flexible at low temperatures. Thanks to the deep grooves that run around the tyre and the 3D sipe technology (which add biting edges onto slippery surfaces) the tread is able to maintain contact with the road.

Kumho’s ultra high performance winter range has the WP72 replacing the WP71. Reinforced XL construction is available for vehicles that require extra load. The 3PMSF mark is also found on the sidewall and denotes the snow grip performance required by law for winter tyres in certain European countries. I got these fitted right before the snow started and they seem alright. The grip is decent on the icy roads, and they don't feel super flat. A little bit of road noise but it's bearable in my little hatchback. The fitter checked everything and gave me peace of mind which was nice. I'll check them again next month when the weather is supposed to change, we could get a big freeze as it's been in the forecast. Overall a good buy. They seem well constructed and the price was reasonable too. Just going to have to wait and see how they do over the whole winter.
