Its directional tread pattern has deep channels to remove water and slush from the contact patch. Additional traction and braking edges on the tread blocks are formed by slits in the blocks. The winter rubber compound is made to be flexible and retain grip in the lower temperatures.

These tyres are far better than standard ones and perform extremely well in snow. With normal tyres, the car would slip easily, especially on minor inclines and when braking. With these snow tyres, I have so much more confidence because they provide excellent traction.
