The Kumho Road Venture AT52 is an all-terrain tyre designed to maintain traction on gravel, dirt, and muddy lanes while keeping SUVs, 4x4s, and pick-up trucks road legal. The tread design helps with both braking and cornering on paved roads. The AT52 uses stepped grooves to clear compacted dirt and stones, and utilises slits in the tread to provide additional bite on wet and loose surfaces. The tread and sidewall are designed with a rubber that protects from cuts and rough terrain.

The Kumho Road Venture AT52 is the replacement of the Road Venture AT51, and is the first in the range to be issued the 3PMSF and M+S designations. The AT52 is available in an XL construction which allows for reinforced sidewalls. Tyres.co.uk sells the Kumho Road Venture AT52.

They suit the 2L Auto Ford Ranger well and do not exhibit the same wear pattern on the front axle as the original Goodyear tyres.

Even wear on all tyres when set to 38psi cold. Tread on all five is even. It handles well in the wet and dry and is good in sand and gravel.

There is good grip on wet roads with no spinning of the tyres. No aquaplaning when driving through water, and they perform adequately off road in mud and snow, but are not as good as mud tyres for self-cleaning and grip. In Murray-Sunset National Park soft sand, I was able to keep the pressure above 15 psi and still cruise with no difficulty. Overall, solid all-round tyres and I have been happy with them.
