The Kumho PS71 is a summer, ultra-high-performance tyre designed with 4 major channels to help with speed and braking balance and cornering in wet conditions in conjunction with a stiff outer tread. The PS71 utilises large, stiff outer blocks to provide support for the tread and stability for braking in wet conditions and sticky rubber to assist with traction. It has 4 central longitudinal channels to provide water clearance with additional smaller lateral channels to remove water from the contact patch. The rubber has a high silica content to improve wet traction and braking.
There is also an SUV version of the tyre which has additional capacity for heavier vehicles and a higher load capacity. The summer variations are designed for warmer conditions, usually above 7 degree Celsius. Tyres.co.uk has the Kumho PS71, including the SUV version.
