Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
These tyres are designed with a stronger sidewall, making them capable of handling more weight than your average tyre. Typically, they are classified by the letters 'XL' on the sidewall.
Kumho PS71s for SUVs are a summer performance tyre formulated for wet braking and cornering stability at the higher loaded conditions of an SUV. The High Grip Resin compound improves grip in both the wet and dry. The asymmetric pattern features 4 broad circumferential grooves, with channels for the removal of standing water. Behind the tread, a reinforced casing accommodates the higher weight of an SUV during acceleration and braking.
The 3D Block Design of Kumho will support the tyre during cornering as the blocks of the outer edge are shaped to accommodate the tyre as cornering forces develop. Reinforced construction is indicated by XL on the sidewall, which permits a greater load for SUV applications. This tyre is appropriate for summer driving conditions when the temperature is above 7 degrees Celsius. We have the Kumho PS71 SUV available for purchase at Tyres.co.uk, XL version included.
