Product description & features

Winter tyre for passenger cars Kumho I'Zen KW27 has an innovative directional V-shaped tread for effective slush removal while retaining winter suppleness. Thanks to the silica-based tread compound, the I'Zen KW27 can cool and become flexible to accommodate the snowy and other icy surfaces. Grooves for water and slush evacuation extend from the tread centre to the outer edges. The tread is equipped with 3D sipes to offer improved biting edges on snow and stiffness during braking.

It is evident from the sidewall marking of the I'Zen KW27 that the tyre is equipped with the 3PMSF and M+S markings which mean that it is a severe snow condition winter tyre. In addition, there is a specific tread pattern for this tyre which should not be ignored due to the rotation arrow. It means that the V-shaped grooves should point towards the leading edge to allow for slush evacuation from the tread centre. The I'Zen KW27 by Kumho is available on Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Directional V-shaped tread
  • Silica-based tread compound
  • Water and slush escape grooves
  • Three-peak snowflake winter marking

Tyre review for Kumho I'Zen KW27 205/65R16 95V
While on the Isle of Skye, these tyres definitely kept us safe. My rear-wheel-drive MX5 was able to drive out of the car park in the snowstorm while other cars couldn't.
