  • D
    Fuel Efficiency
Fuel Efficiency / Rolling Resistance: D

How much fuel the tyre uses as it rolls. Graded A to E, where A is the most efficient and E the least.

  • C
    Wet Grip
Wet Grip / Braking Performance: C

How well the tyre stops in the wet. Graded A to E, where A is the shortest stopping distance. Each grade is worth roughly 3 metres, about a car length.

  • B72 dB
    External Noise
Noise Emission / Exterior Noise: B (72 dB)

How loud the tyre is from outside the car, measured in decibels. Graded A to C, where A is the quietest.

Product description & features

The Horizon HU901 is designed with an asymmetric tread pattern to improve performance in dry and wet weather, including cornering and water clearing. Quick reactions to changing weather is aided by wide grooves to draw water away and minimise aquaplaning. Slits in the tread are designed to improve traction on wet surfaces. The tread compound is designed with low rolling resistance in mind.

The asymmetric tread design is based on different sections of the tread, as opposed to a repeated design, edge to edge, of the same section. The HU901 is designed to extend the life of the tyre and the tread design helps with sound dampening. The HU901 is designed for performance in warm weather. Horizon HU901s can be found in our inventory at Tyres.co.uk.
