Designed for cars, rather than vans, 4x4s or commercial vehicles.
A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
The Hankook Winter i'cept iON X (IW01A) is designed specifically for electric SUVs. The tread pattern and casing styles help the tyres perform in cold and snowy conditions. The Winter i'cept iON X uses a directional V shaped tread pattern. Water and slush are moved to the outer edge of the tyres to help eliminate aquaplaning. The 3D GripKontrol Sipes help maintain the shape of the tread blocks while creating additional biting edges in the snow. Hankook's EVolution winter compound has a high silica concentration to help with flexibility at lower temperatures.
The IW01A code represents the electric SUV design version of the Winter i'cept iON. The 3PMSF marking on the sidewall means it has met the required standards of snow traction to obtain the winter designation. Tyres.co.uk has the Hankook Winter i'cept iON X (IW01A) in stock.
