Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
These tyres are designed with a stronger sidewall, making them capable of handling more weight than your average tyre. Typically, they are classified by the letters 'XL' on the sidewall.
The Hankook Ventus evo (K137) is a summer tyre that aims to improve braking and cornering on wet pavement. It uses a tread with a higher concentration of resin to help on warm pavement. The tread of the K137 uses Hankook’s 3D GripKontur. This technology places interlocking block edges to help maintain block integrity during braking and cornering. Many of the grooves in the tread are oriented front to back, and work in conjunction with angled channels to transport water quickly to the outermost edge of the tyre. The outermost block edge of the tyre is reinforced to improve steering response. All of these design elements work in conjunction with the tyres 2-ply casing and a belt with an aramid/nylon hybrid to improve the overall tyre structure at high speeds.
The K137 is a replacement for the Ventus S1 evo 3 in Hankook’s road tyre collection. Hankook’s design for an even tread wear and tear is called ProMileage Technology. The K137 is considered a passenger tyre, and is complemented by the Ventus evo SUV (K137A), a version designed specifically for SUV’s. Tyres.co.uk sells the Hankook Ventus evo (K137).
