The Goodyear GT3 is designed for passenger cars as a versatile option for all seasons. It has a unique tread design that helps with traction on wet roads. The GT3 incorporates a front to back groove system that helps with water drainage. The tread design includes an uninterrupted band that aids in enhancing precision in steering and maintains stability. The GT3 has micro slits in the tread that provide additional edges for traction in varying conditions.
Goodyear designed the GT3 with a special rubber compound that lowers the resistance of the rubber rolling. This means an energy efficiency is achieved which requires lower energy to maintain tyre motion. It is also designed to help the GT3 run quieter.
