Product description & features

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 is a summer tyre focused on improving performance during wet conditions with an innovative asymmetric design. Goodyear claims that the innovation is that the design allows the rubber to hammer tiny bits of the wet road, increasing contact, and therefore, friction. It is also designed to guide the water away from the centre grooves to improve dry performance. The outer edge of the design has large blocks that provide support when cornering.

The Asymmetric 6 replaced the Asymmetric 5 in 2022. Goodyear also claims that their SoundComfort Technology are tyre inserts made of polyurethane that help absorb and lower the noise caused by the air moving in and out of the tyre. Tyres.co.uk sells the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, SoundComfort editions included.

Impressive grip. Very quiet and comfortable ride. Certainly better than the budget Davanti tyres that came with the car.

The positive improvements in handling, fuel consumption, and braking in wet conditions can be attributed to the excellent work the new tyres are doing.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 6) 225/45R17 91Y
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyres offer great traction and excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions. They give good, solid feedback from the road, are quiet and comfortable over long distances. I would consider them a reliable option that offers good traction while having a bit of sportiness when needed. They still look like they are holding up well after 10,000 miles.

Tyre review for Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 6) 225/45R17 91Y
These tyres are excellent. I replaced my Bridgestones after they started developing cracks after two years, and these tyres are much better in terms of handling, noise, and comfort. Highly recommend.
