History

Goodride Tyres was founded in 1958 at the Hangzhou Rubber Factory – later known as the Zhongce Rubber Group. The global presence of the ZC Group means that Goodride is distributed around the world, with access to leading testing facilities, research systems and inspections.

Among ZC’s collection of brands, Goodride Tyres is one which is operated on quantity – with brand targets driven by the number of tyres sold. Goodride typically stocks wholesalers and large retailers, with its tyres considered both accessible in price and reliable in quality.

Because Goodride Tyres benefits from exposure and access to leading testing facilities and manufacturing techniques, its tyres balance affordability with the kind of quality you expect from premium brands like Pirelli, Michelin, and Bridgestone.

Goodride’s Position on the Tyre Market

Goodride is a mid-range brand that operates on a quantity scale when it comes to sales. It has established a reliable market presence, favoured by drivers for on-road durability and for diversity among vehicle types and tyre models.

Just some of the features of Goodride Tyres that elevate both its product line, and the brand reputation include tyre tread design, the raw materials used, and the construction techniques that are followed. These techniques include a process called vulcanisation, during which the finished tyre is exposed to high heat and pressure in order to bond its components together and enhance the strength of the tyre.

Goodride is particularly popular with those seeking off-road tyres, and SUV tyres that can bridge road driving and off-road adventures.

Popular Goodride Tyres Models and Collections

With Goodride Tyres manufacturing tyres for passenger cars and off-road vehicles, as well as light commercial vans and trucks, the collection is broad and covers all seasons as well as all terrains and road surfaces.

While Goodride does not offer the same excellent performance attributes across its off-road range, as high-end brands like Yokohama and Kumho, it does bridge wet grip and dry performance with ease and quality – and is a much more affordable brand that can navigate changing conditions and surfaces in a single journey.

Goodride also has a selection of agricultural tyres for large vehicles and farm machinery, combining deep grooves and a chunk tyre tread with reinforced sidewall designs and extra strong materials.

Some of the top models manufactured by Goodride include the off-road Goodride Rugged Legend SL389 tyres and the Cross Legend SU320 tyres – both of which offer enhanced fuel efficiency as well as extreme grip and handling. The Goodride Sport SA-37 is another popular tyre model for SUVs, which balanced aesthetic appeal with mixed-terrain performance and durability. And then there are the reliable everyday models and commuter tyres, like the SOLMAX1 and the Sport DSII models.

Browsing Goodride Tyres by Season
With so many different vehicles catered to by the Goodride Tyres range, one of the easiest ways to filter different models is by season. UK drivers, across both commercial and passenger vehicles, can typically opt for all-season tyres as well as seasonal ones, owing to the temperate UK climate. The choice tends to come down to performance preference and vehicle style.

One of the benefits of the Goodride brand is its diverse range of both all-season and seasonally designed tyres. Within the passenger car tyre range, Goodride’s all-season tyres combine reliable traction with rubber compounds that easily flex between the pliability needed for winter driving, and the strength to withstand high summer heat. The all-season Elite Z-401 tyres and the all-season Master SW613 tyres are both top year-round models.

Summer tyres need to be able to handle sufficient wet grip and dry performance, with reinforced construction that can withstand the pressure of high temperatures. In the Goodride Tyres range, models like the Radial RP88 tyres and RideMax G-118 tyres are great for summer handling, facilitating smooth driving and plenty of durability. Ultra-high performance tyres like the Sport RS and Sport SA-77 tyres are also suitable for summer driving.

Winter tyres boast thick tread blocks and deep grooves, with a flexible rubber compound at the heart of the tyre to maintain good flexibility on the road. The Goodride Zuper Snow Z-507 tyres and the SW608 tyres are popular winter models, while the IceMaster Spike Z-506 offers the best grip across extreme conditions.

Choosing the Right Tyres for Your Vehicle

From winter tyres to summer flexibility, off-road stability, and everyday fuel efficiency, choosing the right tyres means matching both your vehicle and your driving style with the best models. Goodride Tyres sits under one of the most successful tyre manufacturers in the world, and benefits from exposure to leading research and innovation as a result.

It may not offer the same premium status as other brands like Goodyear, but Goodride combines diversity with value for money.
