The Firestone FS422 is an all-season passenger car tyre focused on performance on wet and slippery roads. The FS422 features lateral grooves and slits in the tread pattern to clear water and touch the road. The slits in the tread pattern provide edge for grip in wet and mildly icy conditions. The FS422 integrates a rubber compound that is focused on reducing rolling resistance with an urban tyre casing to improve durability.

The FS422 combines a noise minimising tread pattern with the water-clearing tread pattern.
