Dunlop Winter Sport 5 tyres are designed for maximum traction and braking when driving on cold, damp road surfaces, on slush and on snow, with a directional V shaped tread pattern to channel water and slush away from the contact patch. These tyres have wide grooves around the tyre to form water evacuation channels. Slits across the tread pattern add friction for improved grip on compacted snow and cold damp surfaces.

The 3PMSF marking indicates that these tyres are certified for severe snow conditions. There is also a variant of these tyres for SUVs, which have a reinforced structure for greater load capacity. Tyres.co.uk stocks all variants of the Dunlop Winter Sport 5, including the SUV version.

The Dunlop Winter Sport 5 tyres have proved to be a good investment this winter. I feel they handle well on icy roads and give good grip when it is important. They are definitely better than my previous tyres and I have noted this particularly in slushy and snowy conditions. Noise level is acceptable too so this is a relief on longer drives. My only wish is that they last a bit longer my mileage, I feel they score well in safety and comfort.

I feel confident driving in tough snow-covered situations. These tyres do a great job of removing water from the road, as well as gripping well on the road. I have noticed some road noise, but it isn't a huge distraction. These tyres are great for winter.
