The Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is a summer tyre for high-performance cars designed for hard dry track grip. It utilises a tread compound that is race derived. Tyre block assemblies on the edge of the tread assist grip during cornering. An asymmetric tread pattern leaves the outer shoulder of the tyre solid. Inner shoulder water removal grooves run in a longitudinal direction. A stiff breaker layer helps the tyre maintain its shape under the extreme forces of track day events.
The Sport Maxx Race 2 is the second version in the Sport Maxx race line. This version was designed for use on the 911 GT3 in Porsche's N0 specification. Tyres with this designation provide the same level of performance as the original factory tyres and should be used when replacing tyre on Porsche vehicles. Dunlop also makes an SUV version of this tyre for high-performance SUVs. Tyres.co.uk sells the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2.
