The Double Coin DC-88 is a commercial motorway tyre designed for extended use along A-roads and motorways. The multi-rib design aids in the long, gradual builds of stress, and the steady journey of the treads. The ribs of the treads are interrupted by wide, longitudinal grooves, which are used to aid the removal of road surface water. The treads also help maintain wet edge traction as they begin to wear due to the fine slits in the tread.
The casing on DC-88 helps withstand the heat and stress of high mileage commute work, as the tread design helps distribute the stress across the surface of the road. The construction helps the tyre avoid wear and stress irregularities, and aids in the reduction of vibration on long, sustained commutes.
