The Continental Van Contact Winter 2 is a winter tyre designed for a variety of wintry road conditions including wet roads and slush, compact snow, and other conditions typical of winter. These tyres feature a tread design with longitudinal grooves to drain water and slush, and surface micro slits to increase braking and acceleration grip on snow. These tyres are also designed for stable straight-line running for extended driving on the motorway and delivery runs.

The tyre is designed with durability in mind for commercial use with a uniform tread to reduce wear. To help these tyres maintain maximum efficiency with the additional challenges of a commercial load, Continental designed the tyre casing to reduce rolling resistance. I fitted these winter tyres to my van just before the heavy snowfalls of December 2022 and January 2023, and they were a real asset for the 80 mile, daily round trip I was doing over untreated country roads with hills and mountains. They did exactly what winter tyres are supposed to do. On one occasion, I was able to drive past a four car accident on an extremely slippery downhill road, and I was able to do this because of the grip these Continental winter tyres provide. The tyres are also showing very little wear as they are constructed well. They are also perfect for a service vehicle that needs to deal with difficult winter roads at any time of the day. I will buy these again, five stars from me!
