Product description & features

The Continental SportContact 7 is a summer performance tyre. Having developed these characteristics into a different tyre for vehicles of varying weights and power levels, Continental are adept at responding to market needs. The tread pattern is designed for summer conditions, but with rain and wet roads in mind and coupled with an asymmetric Adaptive Pattern, the outer tread blocks link for cornering, the inner section employs a more open design to deal with water.

Constantly Flexible is a rubber compound designed by Continental, with lateral and vertical grooves, which helps the rubber to conform to road surfaces.

The SportContact 7 is the 7th iteration to replace the SportContact 6. Compared to the SportContact 6, Continental says that the SportContact 7 has less braking distance, a maximum improvement of 8% in the wet and 6% in the dry and an impressive increase of 17% in the tyre lifespan.

We offer the SportContact 7 with the added benefit of noise cancelling technology, ContiSilent. We stock the SportContact 7 at Tyres.co.uk.

Tyre review for Continental Sport Contact 7 225/35R19 88Y XL
Having been a genuine fan of Michelin for a long time and having read many independent reviews, I decided to give these a try as many of these reviews suggested that these tyres outperform my usual choice, the PS4. I was really impressed; there was a noticeable difference in the way that the car handled and felt more nimble. The grip during adverse weather is also brilliant. Most people comment on how these tyres tend to wear quicker than the PS4, However, I don't drive long distances so this is not really a concern for me. Out of all the tyres that I have tried, these perhaps have the best performance in the rain when compared to the PS4, and during adverse weather the car handles much better. I have also tried the PS4, and Goodyear AS6, which are okay for long distance driving, but are not really fun to drive. For me this is the best tyre available in the all-round UHP tyre category. I have also tried PS4s, and while they were okay and still are okay for a quick family car, they are definitely in a different category!

Even while cornering sharply, I feel very stable in the rain.
