Product description & features

The Continental CrossContact H/T is a summer tyre designed for the motorway and light off-road use with a preference for the 80/20 split ratio of Continental’s on-road and off-road use. It has a tread design which includes wide, circumferential grooves which move water from the contact patch. Outer edge blocks have been designed to assist in braking and turning on a hard surface. The tyre features a robust under tread casing to help the tyre carry a fully loaded and off-road capable SUV.

In 2022, the Continental CrossContact H/T tyre replaced the ContiCrossContact LX 2 which was the standard highway terrain SUV tyre in the Continental range. H/T marking stands for Highway Terrain which means that the tyre is designed for most of the use on a paved road and light off-road duty. The tread design includes reduced tread pattern noise for long-distance drive. At Tyres.co.uk, you can get the Continental CrossContact H/T.

Tyre review for Continental CrossContact H/T 215/50R18 92H
I have recently changed from budget, unbranded tyres to Continental CrossContact HT and the difference in driving is noticeable almost everywhere. These tyres perform excellently in different weather and road conditions. On dry roads, they feel firm and secure, but in wet weather, they really shine. Compared to my old tyres, their grip in the rain is vastly superior, making the car feel more predictable on wet and rainy roads. Braking has improved, with shorter and more controlled stops, especially when it's wet, resulting in more confident cornering. The tyres maintain their path with the previously unclear feeling, and steering feels more precise, improving the overall stability and control of the car. The ride comfort is great. The tyres smooth out bumps really well and the drive is noticeably smoother. The road noise is kept to a minimum, which makes long journeys more pleasant. My wife has noticed it as a passenger, which is high praise since she rarely comments on it. It is still early to fully ascertain the lifespan, but they seem well built and are wearing evenly. Given their performance and brand reputation, I expect them to last much longer than the cheaper ones they have replaced. The fuel consumption seems to be at least on par with before, if not slightly better. The tyres roll efficiently and do not create a noticeable drag. To summarise, the Continental CrossContact HT tyres are a significant improvement over the budget alternatives I was using. They provide greater grip in wet conditions, better comfort, quieter rides, and a greater sense of confidence while driving. I recommend these tyres for anyone looking for quality options for an SUV.
