Product description & features

The Continental CrossContact UHP is designed for summer use with a focus on performance for SUVs. It has an asymmetric tread pattern for cornering and an outer edge that has big blocks. There are wide grooves that run around the tyre that remove water from beneath the tread and inner side channels move water away from the tyre. Continental's special rubber compound has high silica content and is designed for dry and wet road braking. It is also designed to hold the weight of an SUV. Adapted versions of the CrossContact UHP also have special sidewall markings for use on Audi or Mercedes SUVs. A match to the vehicle's sidewall marking is the recommended fitment. Noise reaching the SUVs cabin is reduced on the ContiSilent versions. All of these can be found on our site, Tyres.co.uk.

Highlights

  • Asymmetric tread, large outer blocks
  • Wide water-clearing grooves
  • High-silica rubber compound

Tyre review for Continental Cross Contact UHP 275/45R20 110W XL
Really disappointed with these. They were noisy from the first week and the ride is far harder than the tyres they replaced. Grip in the wet is nothing special either, the back end steps out on a damp roundabout if you are not careful. Worst of all is the wear, the fronts are nearly down to the markers and I have not done big miles.

Tyre review for Continental Cross Contact UHP 275/45R20 110W XL
I changed out the rear tyres at 33,000 miles. They were still good, but I wanted premium tyres for winter and its uncertain driving conditions.
