The Turanza T005 is Bridgestone’s premium summer touring tyre. It focuses on everyday wet braking performance. Bridgestone uses their NanoPro-Tech to dissipate damp road performance. The T005 uses silica, and its asymmetric tread blocks contain water route High Angle Sipes (H.A.S.) along with directional edges that create grooves to help remove water and damp road tarmac. There are large outer edge blocks to help steering.

The T005 replaced the T001, and Bridgestone claims it performs better by stopping up to 2m sooner. They released that number around the T005’s 2018 launch. The T005’s sidewall has an XL, which can be seen on the sidewall, meaning it has an additional reinforced sidewall. Tyres.co.uk has the T005 in stock including the additional XL versions.

These tyres give me a lot more confidence while driving. I have noticed a big improvement in grip, they are much quieter, and the driving experience is much smoother.

The tyres perform well regardless of the weather. Braking, turning, and steering have all improved. They are also quiet and comfortable to drive on. It may be a bit early to say how long they will last, however. I haven't noticed much improvement in fuel efficiency.
