Product description & features

The Turanza T005 is Bridgestone’s premium summer touring tyre. It focuses on everyday wet braking performance. Bridgestone uses their NanoPro-Tech to dissipate damp road performance. The T005 uses silica, and its asymmetric tread blocks contain water route High Angle Sipes (H.A.S.) along with directional edges that create grooves to help remove water and damp road tarmac. There are large outer edge blocks to help steering.

The T005 replaced the T001, and Bridgestone claims it performs better by stopping up to 2m sooner. They released that number around the T005’s 2018 launch. The T005’s sidewall has an XL, which can be seen on the sidewall, meaning it has an additional reinforced sidewall. Tyres.co.uk has the T005 in stock including the additional XL versions.

I'm a nurse and I travel throughout Somerset and Dorset for work. I needed a tyre that would handle any kind of weather. So far, it has been great.

Tyre review for Bridgestone Turanza T005 225/50R17 98Y XL
Great traction regardless of the road surface. Little road noise, and handling and stability are excellent. They are far better than the Michelin tyres we previously used in terms of fuel efficiency.

Tyre review for Bridgestone Turanza T005 225/50R17 98Y XL
It is what one would expect from a first class tyre company. I would say the added cost of RFT is reasonable - had to replace a tyre after driving with family and hitting a pothole at night. It allowed me to drive to my destination even with the tyre being flat.
