The Turanza T005 is Bridgestone’s premium summer touring tyre. It focuses on everyday wet braking performance. Bridgestone uses their NanoPro-Tech to dissipate damp road performance. The T005 uses silica, and its asymmetric tread blocks contain water route High Angle Sipes (H.A.S.) along with directional edges that create grooves to help remove water and damp road tarmac. There are large outer edge blocks to help steering.

The T005 replaced the T001, and Bridgestone claims it performs better by stopping up to 2m sooner. They released that number around the T005’s 2018 launch. The T005’s sidewall has an XL, which can be seen on the sidewall, meaning it has an additional reinforced sidewall. Tyres.co.uk has the T005 in stock including the additional XL versions.

The Bridgestones perform great in dry conditions but aren't as good as Falkens in the rain. Falkens never lost traction in the rain at low speeds even when they were worn down, but the Bridgestones seem to skid in my car. I bought the same set for my wife's car and she doesn't have the same problems as I do, so I don't understand the situation.
