Built to handle both summer and winter conditions, so the same tyres can stay on all year instead of being swapped twice.
The Bridgestone Ecopia EP600 summer original equipment tyre is purposely built in conjunction with Bridgestone’s ologic technology to help reduce overall aerodynamic drag and rolling resistance. When building the tyre for the BMW i3, Bridgestone decided to capture the effect of ologic technology with the i3’s unique wheel design. The ologic tyre in effect creates a larger wheel with a smaller surface area/tread. The Ecopia EP600 also uses a rubber compound designed to minimise the internal heat build up that contributes to a loss of energy focus.
Bridgestone offered the Ecopia EP600 tyre as the original equipment for the BMW i3, with an unusual pairing of a 155/70 R19 tyre and a 175/60 R19 tyre. Bridgestone matched the front and rear tyres with an almost identical rolling diameter. Tyres.co.uk sells the Bridgestone Ecopia EP600 tyre.
