A stronger sidewall lets this tyre carry more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. Marked XL on the sidewall.
Designed for temperatures below 7°C. Summer tyre rubber hardens in the cold and loses grip, while a winter compound stays soft and holds the road in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 DriveGuard is a puncture resistant winter tyre with built in run-flat technology and a focus on improving wet-road braking. This directional tread has slush and water evacuation grooves that run from the tread’s centre to the outer edge. There are biting edge creating slits in the tread block that are covered in slush and snow. This tread block cutting technology is combined with winter compound that is high in silica and maintains flexibility at low temperatures.
DriveGuard technology provides reinforced sidewalls that allow functioning in a support condition for up to 50 miles (80km) at 50mph (80kph) subject to the manufacturer’s recommendations and requirements of a functioning tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). This tyre is marked with the 3PMSF. At Tyres.co.uk we have the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 DriveGuard in stock.
