The BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A is designed specifically for road travel in all seasons but can also handle all-terrain driving. The T/A provides traction for use on all-season sealed roads (including in gravel and other loose surface conditions). The tyres are engineered with full-depth 3D sipes. The T/A also boasts a 3PMSF marking (which indicates the tyre has met the testing criteria and is certified for use in severe snow). The tyre is further engineered with traction bars, which are incorporated into the outer tread blocks, to provide traction and durability in loose surface conditions, as well as tread grooves that provide a channel to remove water from the tread.

CoreGard Technology provides added protection for harsh conditions by incorporating additional rubber on the sidewalls to resist impact and cutting from harsh road conditions. The BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A is also offered in LT versions (Light Truck), which are engineered for light truck use, in addition to the passenger car versions (which are for SUVs and crossovers). The handling is good although it is not the smoothest ride on tarmac. Off-road performance is good but it is a little bit noisy on the M50. I do still appear to be getting good mileage on this however.
