The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 is a tough all-terrain 4x4 tyre designed to preserve sidewall integrity on rugged terrain while offering good traction on loose terrain. When considering construction and design, it is clear that the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 focuses on sidewall integrity. CoreGard Technology utilises the sidewall rubber from the BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 race tyre. The outer sidewall has been made thicker in order to resist rock and rut bruising and splitting. The outside serrated blocks actively engage in the soft terrain, and the stone ejector system between the tread blocks assist in the removal of stones that become trapped.

BFGoodrich claims that KO2’s sidewall rubber is 20% tougher than KO’s. The model that KO2 has replaced. The tread features a series of slits that, when under load, support the blocks by locking the tread together. The 3PMSF mark on the tread indicates the tyre’s compliance with the snow traction aid standard, and severe snow traction performance has been achieved. I have travelled the roads from the UK to Greece and experienced all types of roads. I spent my summer driving my way through the rocky road of central Zakynthos and then drove back home. These tyres are versatile and perform exceptionally well on tarmac and motorway surfaces, but are particularly excellent on rough mountain and forest road trails.

The performance when handling of wet and muddy conditions is great. I tested them in the snow along with some other cars in January and they worked brilliantly I even managed to pull a Sainsbury's van out of a field on Valentine's day and now the real challenge will be in the Alps this March. I have owned these tyres previously and would purchase again. Got 40,000 miles from the last set on the front of a Land Cruiser.
