Ora is a relatively new electric vehicle manufacturer that rivals the likes of Tesla and other premium car brands like Porsche and Peugeot. Regardless of whether a vehicle is powered by fuel or an electric battery, it has to adhere to the same standards when it comes to tyre safety and maintenance for MOT and legal approval. Tyres need to have a tread depth of at least 1.6mm and need to be inflated to the optimum pressure for the vehicle load rating and passenger weight. Tyres should also be checked regularly in case of damage and matched with both the vehicle in terms of tyre size, and the terrain / climate. Finally, the speed rating should be honoured alongside the load rating, ensuring that tyres are able to withstand the pressure of the vehicle and driving experience.
