The most important is that caravan tyres are rarely used often enough to truly become worn to excess – however, they do start to deteriorate. This is exacerbated by the outside nature of caravans, and the fact that they often sit dormant for extended periods – meaning they can start to become misshapen without proper maintenance.
TOP TIP: One of the best ways to extend the lifespan of a caravan tyre and ensure it is fit for purpose is to drive the caravan a few inches every so often, to change the position that the tyre is sat in. Think about the weight of a caravan: if this isn’t switched up and you don’t allow the whole tyre to balance this weight, you will soon find one part of the tyre is fixed flatter than the rest.
