History

Roadstone Tyres is a South Korean brand which was founded in 1958 and then acquired by large company Nexen Tyres in 2012. Not only did this acquisition immediately align Roadstone with high-performance brands, but it gave the brand access to increased manufacturing and a broader market of customers.

And over the years since, this has fed into Roadstone Tyres’ production rates, and the diverse portfolio of tyres released – which include van tyres, passenger car tyres, and SUV tyres.

Today, Roadstone Tyres distributes tyres all over the world, using its global research and development network to access and use the finest technology from other top brands like Pirelli, Bridgestone, and Michelin.

Roadstone’s Position on the Tyre Market

Roadstone Tyres is classified as a mid-range tyre brand, with particular emphasis on tyres that are eco-friendly but that perform consistently and with a high level of safety across different terrains and in various conditions. It’s worth noting that the connection between Roadstone Tyres and its parent company Nexen Tyres, gives extra weight to the reliability of the brand and the safety of its tyres.

Browsing the ultra-high performance range and sports car selection, through to everyday passenger cars and beyond, Roadstone Tyres merits tyres on their noise reducing technology, rolling resistance, even rate of wear, and on how they perform in wet and dry conditions.

This, balanced with Roadstone’s approach to competitive pricing and budget-friendly tyres, gives drivers access to tyres which ensure safe handling and sustainable attributes, without the high prices.

Popular Roadstone Models and Collections

Roadstone Tyres has a range of all season and summer tyres, covering the passenger car, SUV / off-road, and light truck markets. It also has a selection of winter tyres as part of its international collection, engineered in light of its expansion into Europe and other countries outside of South Korea.

Some of the most popular passenger car tyres include the Roadstone Eurovis Sport 04 tyres with excellent wet grip and rolling resistance for high-performance driving, the Roadstone N8000 tyres, and the Roadstone Eurovis HP02 which has one of the highest results for rolling resistance and coasting (meaning high energy efficiency).

The top SUV tyre is the Roadstone N’Fera RU1 with excellent wet grip and handling, while truck drivers favour the larger tyre size of the Roadian CT8 with its even tread wear technology and superior comfort.

As you can see from the various ratings and merits attached to each tyre, driver preferences and vehicular needs are considered when building each tyre, to ensure each is fit for purpose.

Browsing the Roadstone Tyres Collection by Season
Roadstone Tyres produces a range of tyre models to meet the needs of different markets and climates – many of which are engineered for specific conditions. While UK drivers specifically tend to favour all-season tyres for their versatility in light of our reasonably temperate climate and lack of extreme weather conditions, summer tyres and winter tyres have their own unique features that make them suitable for different conditions.

The Roadstone collection of all-season tyres covers the European Roadstone N’Priz 4S tyre with balanced wet and dry performance and added comfort across snowy terrain as well as dry roads. Some of the underlying features of these all-season tyres include a wider tread groove to enhance stability, and sipes which help to dispel surface water. Other all-season tyres include the Roadstone Roadian HT tyres, which combine the rugged design of 4x4 tyres with the versatility of a year-round solution for drivers.

Summer tyres need to be able to traverse over wet roads and dry conditions, without losing their structure in changing temperatures and surroundings. The top summer tyres with stable sidewalls and versatile tread patterns include the N8000 and Roadstone Eurovis HP01 tyres, both of which have high performance statistics but with the added safety of being able to seamlessly handle different road conditions. The Roadstone NFera RU1 is Roadstone’s summer SUV tyre, with particularly strong wet performance on- and off-road.

Winter tyres are a different design altogether, as they need to bolster the traction and grip of the vehicle through chunky treads and flexible compounds – optimising control, cornering, and braking efficiency. The best high performance tyres for winter were introduced as part of the brand’s international expansion, and include the Roadstone WinGuard Sport tyres, WinGuard Ice Plus tyres, and the EuroVis Alpine WH1 tyres.
