Believe it or not, Riken Tyres did not start life as a tyre brand – in fact, the company existed for almost four decades before tyres became a part of its story.
The Riken Gomu Industry was opened in Japan in 1917, working mainly in chemical research and science. In 1956, the Rikin Gomu Industry became known simply as Riken and spread into the tyre manufacturing field – utilising a refined degree of balance between quality and safety, to ensure that tyres are fit for purpose.
The brand continued its expansion, and in 1979 spread beyond Japan and Asia, out towards the United States and Europe. Ever since the 1990s, Riken has been deemed a global tyre manufacturer and reputable brand, delivering consistent quality and standardisation in line with its diverse collection which covers different tyre dimensions and tyre sizes.
