Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E.
A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length.
The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels and accompanied by an external rolling noise rating - ranging from A (least exterior noise) to C (highest level of noise).
These tyres have been specifically designed for fitment and use on cars.
These tyres are designed with a stronger sidewall, making them capable of handling more weight than your average tyre. Typically, they are classified by the letters 'XL' on the sidewall.
designed to cope with various weather conditions and deliver a reliable performance throughout the different seasons.
The Pirelli Scorpion SF2 is an all-season SUV tyre that focuses on wet and cold braking. It uses a zig-zag centre groove and V-shaped channels to clear water and come available with the 3PMSF marking on selected fitments. The centre groove aids stability as the tyre is changing direction. There are many 3D sipes that cross the tread blocks, which can be used as edges when braking on cold and damp roads. This tyre uses Pirelli’s adaptive compound and their SUV specific casing is designed to accommodate the heavier weight and higher centre of gravity of these vehicles.
The Scorpion SF2 is the newer version of the Scorpion Verde All Season SF. The 3PMSF is a symbol that states the tyre has been tested for a regulated snow-traction standard and is directly moulded into the tyre sidewall. We have the Pirelli Scorpion SF2, including the 3PMSF versions, in stock at Tyres.co.uk.
