A UK brand that sits firmly in the middle range of the tyre market, Avon Tyres is a reputable mid-range tyre manufacturer known for producing motorcycle tyres, passenger car tyres, and motorsport tyres.
It is owned and operated under the Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, which was acquired by Goodyear in 2021. In short, Avon Tyres may be a relatively small brand in terms of its scale and production, but its direct connection to Cooper Tire and Goodyear through ownership means that each Avon tyre benefits from huge innovation, investment, and premium development.
Interestingly, Avon Tyres range of motorcycle tyres actually fell out of the market for the period 2023 until 2025. However it was relaunched by Goodyear as a solid brand offering durable, high-quality driving precision under an affordable price tag. Goodyear referenced, in particular, Avon’s “rich maverick heritage” when it comes to motorcycle tyres, with a range of popular models including the RoadRider MKII, the 3D SuperSoft tyres, and the Cobra Chrome tyres.
