Apollo Tyres was first founded in India in 1972 and has since spread its production of rubber tyres across seven key sites including Hungary and the Netherlands in Europe.
As part of its growth plan in the years since being founded, Apollo Tyres Ltd has acquired other businesses and tyre manufacturers, expanding its range and access to testing and production facilities. Its own range was focussed originally on truck tyres, though it has expanded its manufacturing units since with the acquisition of other popular brands.
Today, Apollo Tyres sells Apollo and Vredestein tyres, combining these two brands to forge a diverse portfolio of tyres for different terrains, climates, and vehicles. Vredestein was acquired by Apollo Tyres in 2009, with this one of its major acquisitions in the expansion of passenger car tyres and tyres for SUVs.
The history and growth of Apollo, encompassing its own collection of truck, car, and industrial tyres, alongside the acquisition of other brands, means that Apollo Tyres has a broad range of affordable but high-quality tyres to suit all needs.
